Lucien Taylor

Lucien Taylor is the founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Oxford Information Labs, a leading cyber intelligence consultancy. He is also the founder of the DNS Research Federation, a UK-based not-for-profit organization focused on advancing the understanding of the Domain Name System's role in cybersecurity, policy, and technical standards.

With a background in both technology and business, Lucien has led the development of innovative systems at Oxford Information Labs. Some of his key projects include:

  • DAP.LIVE: A powerful DNS Analytics Platform developed by the DNS Research Federation.
  • Global Signal Exchange: A global data-sharing platform, co-created with the Global Anti-Scam Alliance (GASA), aimed at tackling online fraud.
  • Nominet Dispute Resolution: A streamlined legal system designed to manage complex domain name disputes.
  • Netistrar: A cutting-edge domain registration platform.
  • Speak2Me: An innovative text-to-speech prototype developed for the BBC.

Lucien is a frequent speaker at events related to internet technology, cybersecurity, and governance, and he has conducted seminars at various academic institutions. Before his career in cyber intelligence, he had a successful ten-year run as an actor. Later, he qualified as a computer engineer with a First-Class Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, followed by a Master’s in Business Administration.
